What bald patch?

Mrs L and I headed off this morning to explore Clashnessie beach with the plan to catch up with Rob & Jean this afternoon. More good bird watching with a pair of Common Scoters and a juvenile and adult Great Northern Diver Check Out RCB.

Back at the chalet we found a note from Rob & Jean - with no improvement in the weather forecast and now high winds forecast, they've headed home. Is it us? That's everyone gone now!

We spent the afternoon on Clachtoll beach (photo) where again we watched Red-throated Divers plus a Great Northern Diver.
