The Secret Garden

Spent the day mostly sitting in the sun soaking up the warmth and reading. Rain was forecast for the following day (which came to pass. I am backblipping this image and another.) and I wanted to take advantage of every beautiful moment. It is so quiet here on the Island. What sounds there are a delight. Birdsong, frogs, deer in the underbrush. Watched a brand new fawn and mother stroll across the property just up from the shoreline. Simple and glorious. My tulips are still going strong in my window boxes which is remarkable. Looks like we will have them for another week or so. Caught them here in sliding glass doors, a magical sea of colour against the evergreen forest.
