No smart-arsed remarks today, having just survived the end of the world, and all... (OK, so one smart-arsed remark.)

Visited some old plotlands outside Basildon. Click here to find out what plotlands are/were but suffice to say, they were ace.

The area around this house is now a nature reserve, overgrown with trees and wildflowers and overrun with bunnies. This is the last remaining house and is now a museum. The man that built it lived in a shed nextdoor (which he also built) while he finished it himself in the 1930s. He's my hero.

Oh, and yes, I did put that roller there.
