Kaiapoi Lakes, North Canterbury, NZ

I'm hanging on to Autumn for as long as I can. The mornings and nights are now much cooler but our days have been beautiful.

It was quiet at the lakes this morning, just the ducks and I, a couple of black swans and a few birds in the trees. The sun was up and ever so bright capturing the Autumn colours and creating a glisten on the dewy grass.

I'm overwhelmed by your warm words, hearts and stars for yesterday's Golden Mist. I did enjoy being out there in the not too early hours, as the Autumn sunrise is becoming later as Winter fast approaches. Thank you - I'm thrilled and very touched.

Hubby and I will be heading out shortly to pick Daughter E up from work and I have a few little jobs to do at the mall, then home again to tea and I'll catch up with a few comments. The days ahead for me are becoming quite exciting as I plan to go away - Wednesday is the day Mum and I fly. I'll try to keep up with comments until I go.

Enjoy your evening or day - Monday will be knocking on the door before we know it - Oh, NZ is still here, not sure what happened to the world coming to an end!!
