A thin veneer

Today from the kids perspective was pretty spot on...
Hours at a play centre with their Daddy and cousins, followed by a visit to see Nana and Papa. Gifts of 'Octonauts' books then home to read on the couch with Mummy and Daddy topped off with snuggles and eggy bread for tea.

Today from my perspective...
Going to see my confused, exhausted, tearful Dad who is in constant pain and frustrated beyond understanding. Seeing my fragile Mum facing impossible choices. Cuddles with the kids.

If I held it together for the kids today it was a thin veneer. They would probably be able to have a good guess on how I'm feeling anyway. They're not daft.
