Martine the fashion model

Preparations for Nienke's birthday party tomorrow... I worked in the garden most of the day. It was very hot but it had to be done: the kids should be able to play in the garden and there were quite some nettles and thistles.

In the afternoon Martine went to a fashion show in a nursing home for people with dementia while I continued working in the garden. She was one of the models and showed the latest fashion. Well, around 1825 anyway. Thank you Gerja for taking this picture.

The girls had lots of fun in and around the small swimming pool I set up for them in the garden. When Martine was home again it was time for us all to leave. Martine's mother Zwaan is retiring and today was her goodbye party with a barbecue. Lots of fun but the girls were in bed way too late. I hope this won't backfire tomorrow at Nienke's birthday party...
