San Gimignano

We decided to go hiking today and to see if the sunflower fields were brightening up Tuscany yet. So we headed for San Gimignano. We didn't see any sunflowers, but a lot of poppies :)

We started a hike from San Gimignano, which gave us this lovely skyline view, and then accidentally took a 'shortcut' that was really making the whole hike more difficult :P, asked where we were at a beautiful holiday resort, and then found our way back to San Gimignano. It's a lovely little town in any case, this city of towers :)
