Judy's Garden!
I was given a very lovely privilege today - Heather, a wonderful woman who has lived here, on Big Harbour road, for many years, invited me to have tea with her (she is so typically English!!) and then visit the wonderful gardens of Judy! Apparently Judy Fuller was a renowned gardener, with amazing energy, and who sadly died at 61 years of age, a couple of years ago. Her gardens are totally stunning and captivating....a photographers paradise...sort of like porn for the macro flower photographer!!! We spent about 45 minutes....which of course really wasn't enough time....but i was being polite!!! i took many images....and this one speaks to me the most right now! maybe the flowing nature of the image...the subtle colours....all work together to express a feeling!
It's been such a lovely day....full and rich!!! the lovely French wwoofers, Richard and Amandine arrived late last night! today, they spent a lot of time preparing 2 cabins and beginning the long hard road of getting the garden ready. it is so delightful to meet totally new and lovely people from another country! And then our dear friend Richard arrived this afternoon. He's here for the next 4-5 months, and it is sort of like of old home week here at Big Hill... we've had a delicious dinner and some wine.... freshly prepared goat cheeze (which i didn't partake of) and animated conversations.
listening to my favorite singer right now....i just can't get enough of this voice!!
hope your weekend has been rich and memorable! mine has!
