Red birthday gerbera after more than a month

My lovely daughter gave me a beautiful red gerbera as part of my birthday present. It has flowered since, and has more buds coming. I love the dark red with the yellow pollen in the centre. it sits on my kitchen window sill and gives pleasure every day.

I love living plants, so much more worthwhile than bunches of flowers which have such a short life.
