Once upon a time, in the Museum Gardens, a couple were a-courting. They lost track of time and when they decided it was time to go home, they found themselves locked in with the squirrels and rabbits and the odd hedgehog.

Unwilling to spend the night under the stars in their "we've just been out for a posh meal" finery, they pretended to be Bond + Bond Girl and climbed over the wall, just near this gate.

I can never pass through this gate, on the Kings Manor entrance to the Museum Gardens, without thinking back and chuckling.
