Book, Mummy

19months 2days

Slowly but surely, we're creeping back to decent nights. She went down for 6.30 last night and slept through til 3.45. She snuggled until 4.30 then went back to her bed until 6.45. That is HUGE progress. Very pleased with that. The photo is this morning, as I was getting dressed. She comes and stands at my bed with her book and goes through all the animals and things. Her favourites are the penguin (which goes flap, flap, flap she says), the frog (which goes jump, jump, jump), the big cat. And the pictures of a clock and keys!

We went to toddlers this morning. The centre where it is had an open day on Saturday and there were two massive helium foil balloons left. Katie spent lots of the morning running around with a giant smiley face. She and her friends also spent lots of time proving to the guy who runs the place why we need a baby gate blocking our room from the offices and computer suite. She was very sad when Harrison and Aiden left, partly because their mum had said to H "lets go see grandad". Katie was upset to not be doing that. But Emma and her mummy arrived just in time and cheered her up.

We came home for lunch, and I put her down for her sleep. We had a job to do this afternoon, so I got her up after just over an hour and got us ready to go. Within five minutes of being in teh car she'd fallen back to sleep, bless her! We then had what we'd hoped would be a nice hour or so walk, but it started to absolutely chuck it down. I got drenched. Katie was snuggled upin the rucksack with one of my winter hats that I found in the bottom of it, but Monkey didnt fair too well. He's drying off as I type. I'd planned to take her to the park at the end of our walk, as we passed a really nice one, but it was hailing so we abandoned the plan and ran for the car
