Today or Not Today

Today was not the day for croissant on the patio at breakfast.
Today was not the day for cycling to the park to play football.
Today was not the day for walking up the hill against the wind to your pals.
Today was not the day for parking on top of the supermarket and walking the longest distance to the shop.

These challenges aside, Today was the day for viewing your husband's trunk as if he had been cut up like a hunk of meat (bacon actually, I thought).

It was also the day for questioning the reasoning behind asking for a shopping trip and then behaving like a 'doh' teenager.

Then for asking your obliging girl to step outside to help rescue her sunflowers from the ground and perhaps pose in the wind too?

Tonight is for staying indoors, wrapped up safe and warm and holding onto something warming. You may choose a hot chocolate, I think I might prefer my hunk of bacon.

In large the debris flying around the garden gives a real sense of the gail force winds we are experiencing.
