Cats & Dogs

A bit breezy

Chaos reigns up here today, Tay Bridge has been closed, lot of other hold ups and not sure the trains are up to much either

I had to drive around a fallen tree on the A90 on the way home....I might have stopped but the polis were waving us through and there were plenty of other trees swaying to so i thought it prudent to carry on!

Same with the small roads to the house...lots of huge branches in the road, it was all very Wacky Races

Icing on the cake was a text from the school just as I walked in the door to say the school bus had been recalled to school due to trees in the road and to come collect my child! Now knowing ds2 was just as likely to regard this all as a high adventure challenge and start to walk the four miles home, I thought I might phone and see if he was still there or not, only to find my super neighbour who has a daughter there had just marched him out the door to her car!! ...thank you very much Maria! :D

So really we are just sitting the wind out, the roof is rattling like a rattly thing, and I think the shed may be just history by the morning!

In other news, Charlie is much better, I fear his illness yesterday was due to some particularly unsavoury puppy menu choices and now he is Not.Allowed unsupervised access to the garden. <ick>

Oh and the blip.....that's candles at the ready for when my electric cuts off...living in the middle of nowhere in gale force winds makes for interesting lighting options!

Hey Dad...catch us on the hop in an emergency power cut???....Not.Bloody.Likely!! xx
