Hearst castle

Today's plan was to continue to Monterey on Hgwy 1 but after visiting Hearst castle there was a sign saying that road is closed after 23 miles. So we had to go back south and use 101 which was about 60 miles longer and we missed the Big Sur.

Here in Monterey we heard that this was because of land slide, that cut the road, so just bad luck. We still got some of Hgwy 1 views and more on Wed to SF.
