Wild

Having to back blip today as had no power last night and so couldn't do an awful lot!
What a wild day! Had to go to Perth but luckily the meeting wasn't too long so got back before it got too windy, but coming home later there were branches and leaves all over the roads.
Part way through cooking tea (just before 6pm) the power went off and then there was a bang - on going out to see what was happening this was what we found. It had uprooted and damaged the power cables in the process and it took till after bedtime for the power to be restored.(the camping stove came in useful!) - good thing we have light evenings.
It was a beautiful beech tree but fortunately the tree was the only casualty, it managed to miss all cars and fell in a gap between houses, and no-one was passing by.
