Farmers
An early morning train back from Beijing and our lovely adventure there yesterday. We took the fast train which takes a little over 4 hours. The trip is around 800km and almost all of the way, the view out the window is of agricultural land. THe scope of it is amazing.
The hard thing to realise about it is that most of the work in the fields is done by hand. Large farm machines were very few and very far between. THis picture gives you some idea of the size of everything and also is interesting because the guy in the foreground is working by hand and the ground is still ploughed by a donkey (or in some cases a horse or a cow). It is an amazing and humbling thing to see.. These people work so very very hard and I imagine that the reward for their efforts is very small.
Chinese people are amazing.
I have backblipped the last two days. I think the pic for yesterday is worth a peek.
