You've Got a Frond...

Sometimes, I wonder if I take photos just so I can attempt some lame pun on Blippo!

This 'creature' - I think it's some kind of deep-living seaweed - was washed up last night by the storm that cut Ullapool off. No electricity, no radio transmissions, no phone signal. I was beginning to believe that crazy old vicar in the States.

Anyway, apart from being covered in Ulva (sea lettuce) my van didn't move an inch in winds gusting to almost 80mph...

If you know what the seaweed is, please let me know.
