Keeping my beady eye on you

This is our bird scarer. It rotates in the wind and is supposed to resemble a hawk and therefore keep the b*stard birds off of the vegetables.

It is operating with limited success - it spins round very fast in the wind, looks very pretty and is certainly slowing down all of the passing traffic that drives far too fast down our lane. However, the pheasants are regarding it with disdain and basically ignoring it, and the pigeons have crapped on it.
