Fence Loves Tree

Woodlands Cemetery, near my place, has been getting a trim this past week or so, and a lot of vegetation has been removed from the periphery. This fence is along a line where the cemetery lost some of its land to a Veterans' Hospital and an expanded road about eighty years back, and thus it is a common chain-link fence rather than a wrought iron one from hundreds of years ago.

I've never seen this particular embrace of wood and metal before, as it was always concealed behind overgrowth. I've never seen one anywhere with quite this nexus formed by the long squeeze.
