Jim's Tractor Tires
This evening I helped a friend remove the back tires from his tractor. He will be taking them to be replaced tomorrow and getting them into the back of his truck is a big job. The tires are filled with liquid to make them heavier and aid in traction.
Each one was well over half a ton and it took the four of us to wrestle them around.
In the right foreground of the picture is the first tire to be removed. Jim is heating the nuts on the bolts of the other one so they will expand and break loose from the bolts they have been attached to for thirty years.
It was hard work but we felt like we had accomplished something worthwhile.
