Teething

19months 4 days

Those familiar telltale signs
Grizzly noise.. Snotty nose...
Hideous nappies... quite sad girl...
long sleeps... rosy cheeks...
Lots of snuggles... won't eat
And chewing... So Much Chewing.
If I could take it away, Darling,
I would in a flash. I love you.
Even more for still smiling

She's doing really well with getting back into the swing of nights. She woke at 3, fed, snoozed with me for a bit (my fault, I was tired) then went back into her bed without even a grizzle. I love having her in bed, and she loves to be there, but she never sleeps as soundly. She slept til 5.45 before appearing at my side.

She had a bundle of hideous nappies this morning. I'm putting it down to teething as she's not been sick, has no fever, and is still playing fairly happily. She is chewing like she's trying to gnaw through the bone, and keeps coming to me to sit and cry for a bit. I can feel at least two teeth making their prescence increasingly known. And I've just found tooth 9. A canine on the right hand side.

I took her to tea and toast, and she did eat a slice of toast so that was good. She played happily for a while with Tatiana and Kiki, and even let Leah cuddle Monkey when she fell and hurt herself. That was rather sweet actually - Katie was trying so hard to be brave about sharing Monkey, but her bottom lip was wobbling rather.

We didnt stay as long as normal, she wanted to come home. She didnt last very long before her bed was clearly beckoning. She slept for almost 2 hours before I went to her. We havent done a great deal this afternoon. I'd hoped to take her swimming, but didnt want to risk a "situation". We pottered out to the shop, and have come back to play. She's currently fascinated with dressing herself and has spent ages putting trousers, skirts and cardigans on and off. Not always in the right place (she thought her shorts were her hat as they were the same spotty pattern and colours) but she's enjoyed it!
