Watering-can at the ready ...

Will it rain? I hope so as I planted out my seedlings yesterday. Rain is forecast to arrive around midnight, but I'll believe it when it happens. Good, though, if we could have a nice soaking while we sleep, and the sunshine back tomorrow.

So, this is a bit of an emergency blip - not for the want of trying! Spent ages attempting to capture swallows dipping and diving - but they're just too quick for me and my little camera!

Then I noticed that one small clump of red campion (in front of the can) is a much paler pink than all the rest, so took this picture to record the difference. In fact, the contrast is much stronger in reality than the photo suggests. But I think it's the best I'm going to achieve today.

OTOH, I did go to the dentist and have an old filling replaced, which meant I didn't need an injection, so that was a nice surprise. And I did enjoy watching the swallows and the very busy, and delightfully numerous, bees. And I did do some work (on writing-commissions). So, not a bad day overall.
