The blip-circle of life

I intended to take a more focussed shot of yesterdays blip.
The flower is no longer there :-(

I did, however, find a pretty, shiny, yellow insect. Laying eggs. This will very shortly be the end of the dog rose for another year, as I believe that the shiny yellow insect is the mummy of these.
