My garden is now getting the first generation of common blue butterflies - previously have always got the second generation in July. But only this male so far, a female better hurry up & come as these butterflies have a very short life on the wing! Not so common title because these are a bit of a rarity now, unless you grow their food plants - birds foot trefoil - you'll never get a chance to see them, so, er, grow some birds foot trefoil (eggs & bacon) & perhaps they'll come to your gardens too! :)
