The Blade
Took a walk up to Reading town centre for lunch and snapped this shot of the Reading Blade. A modern Office block boasting to be the talllest structure in Reading. Magnifcent as a building it is but to date only a few floors have been filled. I'd hate to think how muich of a loss this modern piece of Architecture is running at.
What I do like about the photo are the two chaps crossing the road, the jogger and the business man both looking straight at me. Especially the guy in the suit as it looks like he's walking backwards.
The blurb for thie building reads as such
"Rising 128m above the Reading skyline, the Blade?s iconic design provides cutting edge headquarters accommodation over 14 floors that are less than 5 minute's walk from the mainline railway station. Providing a total of 110,399 sq ft net on floors from 5,833 sq ft, The Blade also benefits from a 5,000 sq ft restaurant unit split over two levels."
