Millifiori

Went on a day course to learn how to make Polymer Clay Millifiori beads today. This is one of the beads i made before it was fired. Used Neon Yellow, silver and black Pardo Clay. Altogether i made nine beads.

When the beads have been dremeled/polished and then sprayed with a varnish to protect them i will Blip them. You should be able to see the details a little more.

Considering this was the first time i have tried this technique i was quite pleased with the outcome. Our teacher Kay Halliwell Sutton is a fantastic lady, very patient and really knows her stuff. Thanks to her i will play a little more and make some more beads in some of my favourite colours.

When i have the energy will take pictures of the bullseye and gelly roll canes we made to start of this process. These are just two of the techniques we learned today. There are many many more to learn but this is a good one to practice for now.
