Old shed in the rain
finally got our trailer fixed, so went out to get straw. The nurseries charge so much for a bale and we have very large vegetable garden, so we found a source where we can get the big bales which are the equivalent of 18 small bales for a fraction of the price.
What a difference it has made - we weed the garden and spread it on in the autumn (a bit late this year) and by spring it is breaking down, but it smothers the weeds.
Plus as it's pea straw it adds nitrogen to the soil.
This is an old shed on the farm we get the straw from. Horrible grey day, lots of rain, so the lighting matches the shed - old and grey with not much life.
