The first tree dahlia

Enormously high and catching the breeze, the first tree dahlia blossom unfolds. Most of the other stems have snapped in the winds - they're about 4 - 5 metres high, if they're still up.

Next year I'm going to cut them down to the ground when they're about two metres tall, that way they'll only grow 3 - 4 metres and have a better chance of not being snapped by the winds.

I said the same thing last year. mmmmmm
