An absolutely glorious day on Wednesday, a stark contrast to today, back to stormy, grey skies with gale force winds. So changeable.

My other half took a day off work today as we were expecting a visit from a plumber in the late afternoon. Prior to this we decided to make the most of his time off by having a lovely walk around Midden-Delfland, a vast area of unspoilt countryside between the major cities of Zuid-Holland.

You can imagine our annoyance at cutting our day short for yet another no-show. The plumber failed to turn up or even have the courtesy to call us. The third time this has happened this month. Why can't you rely on anyone these days?
