Hearing the sea

This is a close up of Neptune's head. He's on the reverse side of a fountain full of manky green water, next to the Actor's Church at Covent Garden. What I want to know is whether he can hear anything other than the sea with those ears?

I'm still wrestling with BT at home. I feel completely cut off without my Internet connection!
