Francesc Macia

On way to bank (just visible in centre of building at pavement level) in full sun, requiring a stop at our opticians (directly behind me) to adjust the legs of my sunglasses which had received a heavy knock while travelling unused around Scotland recently!  I've blipped this circus before, and it remains one of my favourites.  FM (1859 -1933) was the Catalan President who proclaimed an independent Catalan Republic during the second Spanish Republic (1931- 1939), none was long lived.  The circus borders three Barcelona districts Sarria-St. Gervasi, Eixample, and Les Corts, and is one of the most transited points in Barcelona.
