'Court on Canvas' Exhibition opening at The Barber

The exhibition opened today at the University of Birmingham. Birmingham is a particularly suitable location for an exhibition of this kind concerning artworks with subject matter of tennis because lawn tennis was pioneered in Birmingham and the first ever game was played in Edgbaston.

This is a photo of the iconic Athena photograph, now poster, of Fiona Walker who was snapped by her photographer boyfriend at the time during a game of tennis whilst the pair were students at the University of Birmingham.
