I-Spy Books

A couple of weeks ago Noah, Tabitha and their cousin Lilly all went to an open day at the nature reserve at Langford Lakes with their grand parents. They had a lovely time looking at wildlife and entering competitions. The three of them all came away with lovely prizes.

Noah and Tabitha both won lovely bird feeders and seeds which we have hung up in the garden. Yesterday morning at around 6:40am, mummy looked out the window and saw a pair of colourful birds on Noah's feeder. We all jumped out of bed to take a look - Noah took one look, told us it was a gold finches and promtly jumped back into bed. Both mummy and daddy looked at each other unsure if he was right or not - Daddy pulled out one of Noah's bird books and was able to confirm Noah was infact correct.

I feel really bad that I wouldn't be able to name half the wildlife that enters our garden - it is nice having a son who can! Noah has half a dozen I-Spy books; I think they are a great way of getting children interested in their surroundings.
