Lift off!

Grey day - I saw two oyster catchers on the beach but by the time I was finished moving boats all around(we brought the double to the dock from the boathouse) and got the camera, they were gone. :-( I'll keep checking for them tho. Then I saw a mink eating a crab but it was too small so will go with this heron about to take off. These great blues are supposedly on a "special concern" list here. Noone can seem to find their nests, but there seems to be one or two in our bay much of the time.
