Hotel Nouvel

My mother and I stayed for 4 days in this hotel, and loved every minute of it. Think faded grandeur, shabby chic, distressed elegance. It was beautiful, lots of high ceilings covered in beautiful classical mouldings, gold embelishments, 1920s light fittings, classical tiles and acres of marble, Very clean, with friendly and helpful staff and a wonderfully central place to stay, just off La Rambla.

There was a wonderful writing room, with individual desks, lights above them, with a beautifully patterned tiles floor, and palms in the corner. Straight out of the 1920s.

Once I get home I shall do some links to the rest of my photos, but as I am still at my parents, I don't really have the time. Scrabble and rummikub beckon!
