Flaming .....

Can you see what it is yet??? I know poppies are abounding but mine is finally out and it's massive!!! An amazing colour too and there are four more huge buds.

Today the gales have subsided and it's just plain old windy - and grey - and with a threat of drizzle :( Still, no work on a Friday so I've been out in the garden, mowing, cutting back brambles and starting to clear a bed ready for the sweetcorn, so achievements have been made. I'm also revamping by blipfolio in between physical exertions.

The garden is full of fledgling greenfinches, as well as bullfinches and longtailed tits. They all seem very hungry. What are current thoughts on feeding birds through the summer? Did I say summer ... hmm, somewhat optimistic.
