What's in a word?

Nipped out for a swift one this lunchtime, and was struck by what a splendid word "pint" is. Pint. Pint. Piiiiiint. While enjoying this glass of foaming ale, I noticed an excellent poster on the wall advertising a band's forthcoming gig. It read:

Mr Hudson
with his smashing new band
The Library

I have never heard of them, and have no idea if they're any good or not. But how could you resist?
