The early bird catches the worm!

...and this one did!

These American robins are said to be a sign of spring, but, truth to tell, some do stay all winter in this northern climate. Still, people are hopeful that spring isn't far away when the robins show up in great numbers. Today I came across a small flock of them in the park, digging for worms where the snow had melted. They probably had very little to eat since the big snowstorm last weekend.
