Today we were in Philipsburg, St Maarten. Like San Juan, I really love coming here, although it's been a couple of years since I've been. Again theres just a feeling about this place that makes you feel at home.

Cristina and I went to a great little Indian Restaurant, a place we always go to when we're here, for lunch. A little bit of shopping, then an hour or so on the beach.

A little bit of shopping is a huge understatement actually as I finally made the plunge. I finally entered the DSLR league. After a good bit of deliberation and bartering, I opted for the Canon EOS 40D. It will take me a while to figure it out, and get the feel of it, but I'm looking forward to the challenge. It's a cracker. I have been thinking about it for a while, and I must say my inspiration comes from this website, and in particular, all of you, my fellow blippers. My desire to learn, improve, and become a better photographer, has increased 100 fold since I joined this site. I have always held an interest in it, but nothing compared to what it is now.

I also bought an underwater casing unit for my Point and Shoot, which I'm gonna need, as I have to get a shot of the Great White Sharks I intend to go diving with when I get to Cape Town. Yikes!!!!
