Tantallon Castle.
Went for a day out with a couple of friends today. Tantallon Castle, maintained by Historic Scotland and a very gentle jaunt along the coast. There is not much left of it since Cromwell decided to bombard it but what there is has been polished up and fitted with safety railings. The information boards cover everything from architectural design to common local butterflies, and the views of the Bass Rock and Berwick Law are fantastic.
There was a good strong sea breeze and after a coffee and a piece of cake in the Seabird Centre we were all yawning and nodding.
It only started to rain after we got on the bus home. Win.
