Waiting for Spring

Northern is discussing the smells of Spring:

tilled earth

warm metal

trodden grass

diesel fuel


None of these smells are here yet.

I did see another Magpie in the trees of our front yard. And I did see two motorcyclists, although cold, it's only 28 degrees F today. So there are a few hints of Spring around, but no smells yet.

I want to get out my tractor and get ready for tilling. But, alas, I don't even have a tractor. And I don't have a field to till.

Oh, well... maybe Spring will come anyway... someday... soon, I hope.
