Chic-chic, chic-chic

Turkey....
first to arrive.
Some weeks ago five of my hens went broody on me.
Problem...
No cockerels
=
non-fertile eggs!
Thinks...........ebay!
Bid on and won six red bourbon turkey eggs.
Result!
Of five hens only two sat.
One egg broke.
One hen got two eggs, the other got three.
Of the two hens, this one has an abandoned egg and one chick.

I don't know what a young turkey is called*.

The other had one dead youngster and some eggshell nearby.
Hopefully she has two live ones under her wings.

Are you keeping up?

Phew...!

Going up to Wensleydale in the morning for a week....can't wait.

No mobile connection there so no even an iphone blip.
