Could we get any further from the truth?

Last week I think there was a dangerous bacteria found in German pork. This week farmers are throwing away lettuce, cucumbers and tomatoes after discovering they've been contaminated by a dangerous intestinal bacteria that is causing illness and death.

This is the box of frozen half chickens. Looks lovely. The stupid thing is we all know this isnt what it's like.

In Australia cigarette packets display a photo of adverse effects of smoking. I wonder if we had photos of the conditions of the animals on the farms that we buy our meat from whether our purchasing and eating habits would change. Just imagine if the list of all the chemicals, hormones, anti-biotics etc that the animals were fed or came into contact with were included in the packaging. Would we just as easily accept this meat?
