Danetre Hospital

I had an appointment at the local hospital today. When I was a kid we lived on the road next to the old Danetre Hospital. (A lot of it has been demolished so the new building could be built more recently).

We used to play in the field. The field has long gone, and it's now the hospital car park. This old chapel still stands, and as kids we used to frighten ourselves, thinking the dead bodies from the hospital were stored inside!

I'm glad it wasn't demolished when the rest of the hospital was knocked down. Too many old buildings are knocked down for new ones nowadays!!
