Mystery duck

Despite having the bird book and expert birdwatcher Cradlehall on hand, the duck is still a mystery. Its identity is being hotly discussed back in Inverness - just a goldeneye or a Barrow's goldeneye? The duck herself wasn't giving much away, but she had no friends, which indicates that she was a wee bit lost.
