Fibonacci number

Funny how things crop up, but last night it stormed so I couldn't kayak, so I walked on the elliptical machine and watched Jeopardy. They had a category about pineapples and I learned that pineapples were Bromeliads and that the spirals on a pineapple count in a pattern of 8 in one direction X 13 in the opposite direction corresponding to the Fibonacci series.
