Across Roeberry Taing

I was to go to the island of Auskerry today on an RSPB trip but the winds are to reach about force 4 or 5, so the trip was cancelled.

I headed down to Hoxa on South Ronaldsay as orcas had been seen in the area. The usual lack of luck. A walker said that a basking-shark had passed earlier. I did get lots of birds though...great and arctic skua, gannets, terns etc.

This shot is over Widewall Bay near the Sands of Wright. The weather caught up with me just before I reached the village of St Margarets Hope.
