Far too busy a day for a Saturday! And with an early start thrown in! We got the girls up early this morning to nip up to Grandpa's to make sure he was ok and had breakfast. Why does old age have to be so awful??

As a treat, we took Charis and Niamh for their very first visit to the cinema! Can you guess how excited they were?? I once knew all the new releases but not any more! This film was 'Mars Needs Moms', the book was written by Berkeley Breathed, the screenplay by Simon & Wendy Wells, and starred Seth Green, Dan Fogler, Joan Cusack, Elisabeth Harnois and Mindy Sterling. It's about a young lad who, like all children, doesn't appreciate his Mum. Then she is abducted by Martians and the adventure begins! I really didn't know what to expect, but we were blown away by the animation! As for the girls, they had a blast and Charis has been asking all day when she can go again!

The photo is taken in Grandpa's back garden ~ I love that our girls adore nature, even the creepy crawlies! We loved watching busy Blue Tits attending their young in the nest box! Our task for next week is to put some flowers in Grandpa's tubs for him. Perhaps we'll blip them.
