Visa delayed
I had a visa pick-up appointment at the Bulgarian embassy in Berlin. I arrived to the embassy early in the morning hoping that I can collect the visa in 10 minutes and catch the next train to Rostock to give myself enough time to to do the final preparations and start the tour tomorrow. I handed out my receipt to the visa officer who disappeared in the back room. He showed up after thirty minutes only to break the news that the visa was not ready yet. "But I'm leaving tomorrow on the tour", I said in the begging voice. "Sorry but you can only have it on Monday", replies the visa officer. "I came all the way from Rostock, please do something about it". "Okay, then can back at 17:30, but I'm not 100% sure if it would be ready by then". "I'll wait!!!"
I took a stroll in the city, used internet for 2 hours. A friend of mine who lives in Berlin read my Facebook status and came over to see me. We had lunch and went together to Globetrotter where I bought Sandals and Gas for my cooking stove. Then we killed more time in Sony-Center at Potsdamer Platz and ate ice-cream
At 17:25 I rang the door-bell at Bulgarian embassy hoping to hear that my passport would be ready with the visa. But, the voice from the Telecom phone asked me to come back on Monday.
Tour delayed by at least three days.
