We took in the Bank Holiday weekend entertainment of The Leeds Show at Temple Newsam, which was mostly a typical steam fair, with the bonus of a personal appearance from Peppa Pig (the latter to the delight of 3yo).

We had typical Bank Holiday weather too: torrential downpours and sunny spells. There was one mildly alarming moment when the dodgem car circuit was flooded with rain as 6yo and I were driving around, but apparently it is safe to drive electrified vehicles through puddles. They didn't stop the ride anyway.

Eventually the noise was a bit too much, so we walked around some of the peaceful grounds of Temple Newsam. We still haven't explored the house, but that leaves plenty for another visit.
